I must admit I grew up learning the opposite lesson.  For the most part apologizing meant you had failed.  It indicated weakness.  Forgiveness was letting people get away with something they shouldn’t have done in the first place.  Lately, I’ve been starting to consider the wisdom of the above quote. I haven’t found the right size between big and small just yet, but it’s never too late to learn.
